Sub-Saharan Africa GDP Growth Forecasts

This article demonstrates convergence similar to what we learned about in class. As can be seen by the the chart, low income countries such as Rwanda and Uganda are experiencing growth rates higher than those of middle-income countries such as South Africa. If this trend were to persist it is possible that these countries would experience a reversal of fortune in the long run. However, in the case of this article a reversal of fortune is not likely as the Current GDP growth rates are due to specific crisis circumstances such as drought.
