Marriage in US

A new report done in 2011 has both men and women have had an increase in the average age at which they get married. In fact the number of marriages has dropped more than 4000 times compared to the following year. The article talks about how the 20’s have become an age where women “find themselves… establishing yourself, education, degrees, and career,” leaving the 30’s as a time to wed for both men and women now. In addition, they point some fingers at the state of the economy as a leading factor in the deterioration rates of marriage. Now the average age for men is considered to be around 33 years, closely followed behind by women at an age of 30.
