Role of education called Key in Nevada's economic recovery

Recently, a group of education leaders held a meeting in Nevada to discuss about education and the economy. "Jobs are going to go to where the knowledge workers are," said the US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The article addressed that in order for the State to recover more quickly despite the poor economy, they would have to overcome the great challenges with funding cuts and an unprecedented challenge in educating a growing population of Hispanic students, as well as improving the standard of state's education system. Relating this article to what we've learned in class, we learned that increasing school quality or additional year of schooling would generate a percentage increase in wages, it also have a close relationship to better finding a job. In the history of development of economy, we saw that education has play a prominent role in a country's economic growth, the better the nation's public education system is, we saw a better and a more rapid growth in its economy over time. Therefore, a group of education leaders of Nevada State believed that improving the state's education system will be the key to recovering its economy.
