Pilots Pull in Profits from the Port

Aside from the catchy gimmick associated with the alliteration in this posts title, the article uncovers and interesting connection with the class. Touching on income inequality AND the port of Los Angeles, Bloomberg.com goes into detail explaining how the Port Pilots of the City of Los Angeles maintain an average income of over 300,000 dollars while their fellow port workers face job losses and cutbacks. Other scenarios exist, like Long Beach contracting its pilot requirements to private firms, but the problem remains that many believe the income gap seems ridiculous while others get laid off. See for yourself here.
