Reversal of Fortune in immigrants group in the US?

There was one article about how Asian Americans have been convinced that it's harder for them to gain admission to the nation's top colleges, the studies show that Asian Americans meet these colleges' admissions standards far our of proportion to their 6 percent representation in the US population, and that they often need test scores hundreds of points higher than applicants from other ethnic groups to have an equal chance of admission. Not only in education we see Asian American relatively ranked high among other ethnicities, we also see a relatively high average income and lower unemployment rate in Asian American group compare to other ethnicities. In the class, we've studied briefly about the growth rate and growth pattern of immigrant groups, and we saw that immigrant group has relative disadvantage than native Americans in jobs, and has relative lower income than the natives, but overtime, we see that the immigrant group is catching up fast to the natives achieving more equal opportunities and average income to the natives. So from the article, we once again can see that the Asian Americans are as competitive as the natives, and surpassing the natives in the level of education.
