Newt Gingrich, GOP presidential candidate, created a stir at the most recent debate when he proposed a "pro-family" plan that would allow illegal immigrants who have been in the U.S. for more than 25 years to stay in the country. Gingrich's proposal may help millions of illegal immigrants. While his rivals suggest he is supporting amnesty, Gingrich wants to make sure that people know he's not proposing an automatic granting of U.S. citizenship.
